Am I the only one posting to this com? And do we have a archive of the fics on here? I love the fic Umm... Can't think of the name of it... but it was the fic where Rimsy came out the closet, Kryten was going to bake a cake, they were going to have a party, and Listy had two parties! I didn't get a party when I came out; all I got was hell for being gay. My mom didn't speak to me for a month, but it felt like a year. Never got a chance to tell my dad, his sister beat me to it. I thought life would get easier once I came out, but it didn't. Should have followed my first mind and moved to London years ago. And do we have a rec of all the fics on here?

I'm glad you liked it, and I'm sorry to hear you had such a horrible experience. :(

Date: 2012-01-27 06:05 pm (UTC)Families are tricky business and sometimes, they just fail. There is even a scale. But the idea that blood is thicker than water is a concept for vampires - I continuously explain my urban-tribe kinship's by saying "Blood is only thicker than water if you drink it."
Family is a feeling, keep looking for hearts like yours and don't judge their blood and they won't judge yours. As for the judgements of society; if you don't feel like you belong then there is adventure waiting for you to find it. This might sound strange but take it from a retired gypsy - sometimes you aren't home, even if you've always lived there - you need to go find your home! You'll know it when you find it because you'll fall in love with it. It happens! If it can happen to me, I like to think there's hope for others!

GOOD LUCK!!

Don't be ashamed of fantasy - write it down! Share! Make it a part of the tapestry of your creativity!!
But by all means, be fearful of shot-guns, guards and other anti-stalker protocols.... its healthy. Fantasy and reality should almost never mix... how depressing would a "Unicorn Rescue Sanctuary" be? How disgusting if thousands of men and women were sharing [insert hot actor's name here] all at the same time?? (Can you imagine the wars that would break out between the factions?!?! It would be a colossal nightmare of jealousy and insecurity!) How off-putting if thousands of immigrants landed in Pandora, realised they couldn't breathe unassisted and were suddenly wiped out by the fauna, flora and unusual pathogens? I'm telling you there is the 'bubble of safe' for imaginationy stuff that we can attempt to share with our words via LJ and then there's the "How I Met Your Mother" sitcom of regrets that led to many years behind bars.
Seriously, we have HBO, the world is already perfect, lets keep Fantasia safe!! And Craig. I want him to make lots more Red Dwarf for me!! :P
