Forgive me friends,

I know this post isn't strictly slashy, but it is about the Barrie:



I've recently finished my latest Brittas watch though and I realised whilst watching it the Gordon is rather brave in his own way.

So here is the challenge, should anyone want it:

An 'Heroic' Chris Barrie fanvid that DOES NOT include any Ace, other Rimmer is fine, you can use any files you have to hand and even his documentaries if you think it'll fit.
One additional thought please, if at all possible, NOT 'I need a hero', that song though great is becoming a cliché.

I'm not a vidder myself, but just wondering - does the Ace ban extend to Arn-Ace, sans wig, kissing Lister in "Blue"? That's how I'd end it if I knew how to make vids. :)

I find that within this fandom, the extend CB one, not just RD, that Ace is used as an easy out for heroics. Chris does have other 'Epic' moments within his career and I thought it would be nice for them to be high-lighted.

I have all of Chris' stuff and have done a vid for him last year, but I haven't given a thought to a heroic one. The Carole-saving episode of Brittas is easily the way to go, but I'd have to give it some thought. And a hero song doesn't have to have 'hero' in it anywhere; it just has to be Epic :)

I do have to note that when he has to shout his voice slips back down to his normal range, still awesome though.

That one is epic (forgot about that one!), but I was thinking of the 5th series finale, The Last Day. Until the very end of the episode, I was heartbroken. Then I was confused :)

Most songs have been overdone, whether they're brand new or ancient (grin). Holding out for a Hero was THE song to vid to back in the day. Something to Talk About the same. I had 9 or 10 versions for different fandoms of that one.

Yeah I've seen a few repeat song vids, some better than others, which is what makes them gems really shine.
One of my favourites is a CE - DT DW vid set to 'Princes of the Universe'. The song was perfect and the editing so smooth you felt like Chris and Dave were actually in the room together, sublime.
