Also, I'm rewatching Series X and enjoying it a lot.  Its relative newness - by RD standards - means there are still many fics to be written about it IMO.  Whilst watching "Fathers & Suns" yesterday I couldn't get the following idea out of my head - if Pree had stuck around a little longer (and been less lethal), she could have ruined the fun of their relationship for Lister and Rimmer.  Who wants to hear an emotionless computer giving you a blow-by-blow (pun intended) account of the sex you're about to have?  Not to mention the potential of her rattling off this account in front of Cat or Kryten.

I hereby donate this bunny to anyone who wants it as I'm going on holiday tomorrow and will only have very intermittent internet access.  Does anyone else have Series X ideas they'd like to see written?

Additional - I love the expression on Lister's face in this series when Rimmer insults him out of habit.  It's an affectionate "Yeah, whatever, smeghead" look which really needs to be appreciated.more. :)

There's a prompt on the kink meme about Dispenser 34's habit of spying on Lister. Though I can't think of anything interesting for it, I really like the idea of something from her perspective, whether she's watching Lister alone as she says or Lister and Rimmer together.

Hmm, that's a good one. In fact, given how prominent the vending machines were in X, you could probably write a whole fic telling the series from their perspective.

I loved, loved, loved Vero's fic where Lister and Rimmer are role-playing as the captain and first officer together, wearing the outfits from the Trojan ship. I don't know if that could be expanded or improved upon though. It's one of my all-time favorite fics.

I have a few other fic-bunnies that are set during the series X era, but I do plan on eventually getting to those and writing them myself. Series x really is just the best setting to put the boys in, where you can easily buy that they've been in a long-term relationship for years now. It's nice to not have to worry about writing about them getting together, and just get to the fun of them being in love and enjoying being together, and/or driving one another nuts.

Ah smeg. I'm mixing up my favorite fics! Rosecathy is right. I was mixing that fic up with the one you wrote called After Hours, which is another of my favorites set in series x.

Yes to your second paragraph. It's odd that "BTE" portrays their relationship as somewhat frosty IMO, but X by comparison is so cosy. Odd but good. :)
