Fic Rec Week?

So recently on Tumblr it was brought to my attention that some of our newcomers to the slash fandom might not be aware of lots of the fanfiction that's been written in years past. Just the other day I realized some people hadn't yet read Fifty Shades of Smeg! Color me surprised. It got me thinking if maybe we could do a week on Tumblr and LJ where we recommend some of our favorites. Maybe one fic a day for a week, so we each recommend seven, preferably a different author each time. We'd have to do some planning beforehand so people don't all recommend the same ones, but I thought it might be nice to promote some of our favorite fics and give them some exposure to the new people in the fandom. What does everyone think? :-)

I think I already have most of the ones picked out that I'd like to rec, I can probably think of several alternates too if some of us want to rec the same ones. :-)

That's a nice idea. Although I've got the impression (perhaps wrongly) that some of the Tumblr crowd aren't all that interested in fanfic and prefer the snippets of fanart and discussion rather than not actually being aware of what's available. However there's nothing wrong with putting recs out there for those who want them.

Well to be fair, years past also includes 2015, technically speaking. :-D
