May. 6th, 2006 12:57 pmYou know, i was just thinking that Craig Charles and Chris Barrie knew they had fangurls with all the stuff they do and things...
Then it suddenly occured to me that they didn't just know they had fangurls; they were playing for them(us >_>) and judging by the antics in smeg ups and the commentries etc. we're the fans they play for the most. o_O
I can't figure out if it's because they secretly want to bonk each other and playing for the fans gives them a way to bring it all out; or if we're the only actual fans they have/see. My brain will hurt for the rest of the day as I try to figure it out.
Are they secretly in love, or do fangurls cover 98% of the fandom?

Date: 2006-05-06 01:28 am (UTC)You say that like it's mutually exclusive... ;)
Who knows. It's none of my bidness; I'm never going to meet or interact with them, so it doesn't really matter. But I sometimes like to play around with the idea that they (in terms of their public personas) are - and for the abovementioned reasons, that doesn't really matter to them.
I do think we're minority fans. And if they were in love, that would be one of the more badly kept secrets I've seen. ;)

It's a very connotation-ridden word for most men, but I think nobody doubts that there's a genuine affection and closeness that sprung up between them between VI and VII and after, and I think that's a delightful thing wherever you stand.

Date: 2006-05-06 11:47 am (UTC)When I made that icon, after seeing those pictures, my thoughts were (as they are when I see a lot of what the guys get up to, innuendo-wise) that they are having fun with one another and whomever might be watching. I don't think this is about fangirls in particular, but I'd wager if they knew the actual level of interest their antics recieve, they'd be getting worse and worse.
*considers this*
Maybe that's already happening? ;)

Date: 2006-05-06 01:38 pm (UTC)Very good serious note though. I fully agree. They're obviously quite good friends and i bet a bit of it is reaction value as well. I know I have far to much fun seeing what kind of reactions I can get out of people with my antics--i'd be an absolute horror if I had a bigger, easy to access audiance.
(And when I say antics read that as I do things like introduce myself to complete strangers with 'Hi, Slash fangurl at your service. Slash? Oh thats men doing other men it's great, you should read some, or better yet try it, your pretty enough'. The expressions~ I love the expressions~)
