You know, I'm there, too - I find L/C difficult to process. I mean, I love eileet's fics, because the details are so lovely and so show-evocative, but the pairing does not sit in my brain. Maybe it's because there's so much of a buddy relationship between the actors that comes through, and maybe because - well, this is going to be a little odd, but Cat doesn't really care about anyone (he's stated many times, and shown many times), and that kind of shallow sex I can see happening with Rimmer, but not Lister?

On a serious note; you're right. Cat is a cat, and cats seem to be like that. I love cats myself, but I have no illusions about their affections for me. :p I can see Cat/Lister sex as a sort of natural extension of that easy comfortableness they have beetween them (which, IMO, is a result of how comfortable Craig and Danny are with one another). Cat/Lister, in my mind, is a sort of uncomplicated, easy sort of thing that just happens.

Cat/Rimmer, on the other hand? I don't know Rimmer well enough to know if he'd have sex with him or not, I'm gonna trust you on that one, but my gods, how would he feel afterwards? o_O Hehehehe...

Lordy, no, Rimmer will not be happy when he has a chance to process this! The antipathy between him and Cat is about as unequiovcal as it gets (man, Cat had some delightfully mean insults when it came to Rimmer!). I'm thinking of writing an aftermath fic for this one. He's going to be pissed at Kryten and Cat - and Lister, just for an even trio. :p
