[FIC] In a Bar Dealing with a Cat
May. 27th, 2006 10:22 pmTitle: In a Bar Dealing with a Cat
Rating: PG-13ish
Pairing: Colin/Cat
Summary: It’s a prequel to my Far From Home with a Cat
---
Colin slumped over his drink, pondering his situation. He was far from Earth, and everyone on this spaceship was crazy. Lister seemed like a nice fellow, if a bit messy. Rimmer, on the other hand…He shook his head and took another sip. This was too much. Canadian comedians should not have to deal with dimensional tears in the middle of a show. Nope. Not at all. Especially when it leads to a Cat making passes at you.
Colin still didn’t know what to do about that. A Cat. Yes, a highly evolved Cat, but still a cat at heart. Strangely, neither Lister nor Rimmer seemed to notice the Cat’s behavior. Maybe they’d been around the Cat long enough to see it as normal, but what if they were testing him? What if they wanted him to sleep with the Cat? He didn’t know.
The Cat slinked into the bar and sat down gracefully next to Colin, interrupting him out of his thoughts.
“Hey, babe.” He purred.
Colin sat up at that. “I’m not a girl.” Sure, he was homosexual, but he was not a woman. Nevermind the number of times he’d played one on Whose Line.
Cat grinned. “Sure, whatever. Wanna shag?” Colin began to cough violently. This was not helped by the Cat taking out a brush and straightening a wrinkle in his jacket while raising his eyebrows suggestively.
“I…I need to talk to Ryan.” Colin ran out of the bar.
“Whatever, babe.” The Cat took Colin’s drink and sniffed it.
He could wait. No one could resist his sexiness for long. The Cat was sure that they’d be together before the day was out.
