I was doing the vid, and looked through some of the bonus segments in VIII that I skipped the first time around.
Specifically, the Public TV and Children's Fund Drive segments. They did it as scenes from the interior of Blue Midget. And they did them with holo-Rimmer! 'Tis ludicrously fangirlish of me, but I just loved it. Rimmer was being his holo-Rimmer bastard self, and it just made me think about what VIII would have been with that lovely close vibe between Craig and Chris on top of the Lister/holo-Rimmer relationship developing past VII. Sigh.
My caps are rubbish, but it gives the idea.
Public TV.
Children's Fund Drive.
The easter-egg was interview outtakes, and it was cute. Not marvelous, but cute. I have another tick on my Things I Love About Ed Bye list.
And
kahvi - I dunno if this is before or after "Chris - you have nothing to be ashamed of," but the interviewer is relucntant to talk about the impotence drug Hollister takes at halftime, and Mac tells him something along the lines of, "Your problem - it's nothing to be ashamed of." Same delivery.
There is also a little Cat/Rimmer slash going on - at the end of a station ID segment when they're lined up on the bench as Canaries, and the "Pledge!" bit with the mirror.
