Title: Listerworld.
Authors:
roadstergal and
kahvi
Pairings: Various, including slash
Rating: NC-17, for this part (2 of 4).
Disclaimer: We do not own them, and we make no money from this. More's the pity.
A/N: AU ending to Out Of Time. Spoilers up through that episode. Many thanks to
musicisavictim for initiating this conversation.
Part the first.
The clones were scant enough reason for decorum; they did not care for it, and he did not care for them. "I smegging... miss him."

Date: 2006-07-18 07:33 am (UTC)Heh, we should keep a running tally of the things Rimmer blames for his situation in this fic. I have some favorites that I can't divulge yet... ;)
Glad the enjoyment continues!

Weeeee!
no matter how witty he made his comments about the decline of the quality of Hammond organ music in the early 22nd century, and his theories as to why this could be linked to variations in the trading value of wheat on the European commodities market.
Ever such a turn on.
Rimmer sidled out of the hut, almost tripping over the bottle of scented oil that had been pointedly placed there
Ah, the Lister people are deligtful!
Treeporn!!!!! That make me happy beyond decency.
Seriously though, the whole beginging was beautiful and heartbreaking. Poor Rimmer. And Lister too, but especially Rimmer. I loved Lister beeing all propud and protective of his people. And, oh what a planet!
The scene in Rimmer's hut was.....good....yes.
Eagarly awating more.

*gears up for ...*
TREEPORNEH!!! I begs for more. Linda begs for more. My beer begs for more. Even my brother begs for more! (Okay, that last one was a lie).
Okay ... you guys rule. :D And as I to Kat, you guys are the top of the range mate. :)

And you are much too kind, m'dear.

Date: 2006-07-20 10:56 pm (UTC)He watched the hologram, his expression as unreadable as ever, but with things lurking under the surface that chilled Lister to the bone. Oh yes. Something bad.
Oh, Lister. It's like Rimmerworld, only worse. :(
"That's not.. possible," Rimmer told the tree. It rustled slightly, not replying. "They killed Lister. Lister. Cat. Kryten."
Angsty tree-porn. I don't know whether to laugh, whap Rimmer, or hug him.
These vines were not letting his feet go without a struggle. They didn't hurt, though, thank whatever deity those clones refused to believe in; they just held him there, firmly.
Good Lister-vines. Give 'em a treat for knowing what to do.
"He loves you, though," Lena said matter-of-factly, handing him back the roll.
Yay for seeing the truth!
"You're alive - and we're stuck in smegging free-love hippieville."
Otherwise known as Listerland. X3
A race of peaceful, loving souls, raised by Rimmer? Give the man a medal.
Yes. Good Rimmer.
"Take it off, burn it, run around naked. They won't care."
And I suspect you won't either, Rimmer. *wink*
He missed, he realized, just being around Rimmer out of choice; not just because they were in the same cockpit out of necessity.
Bam. And there it is. VI is/was a great season, but for them not to bunk together...*shakes head*
The tree started to move, as if in a wind that must have built up in the previously still night rather abruptly.
Treeeeporn. X3
Mmm. I'm off for the next chapter.

Date: 2006-07-21 12:44 am (UTC)As Linds says, treeporn is the best porn. It's a bit hard to describe in the subject, though. Rimmer/foliage?
That's exactly what killed me about VI - things were very close and very mean, like proximity made them all acutely aware of those things that had room to fester on Red Dwarf. It was nasty, but I feel that it was cathartic, too, in terms of how it spit them out the other side (and ach, if only Rimmer had stayed).

Date: 2006-07-21 12:50 am (UTC)Label it as Rimmer/Tree? Put treeporn in the warnings?
If only, if only. Bloody production problems. :(

Date: 2006-07-22 08:56 am (UTC)And the vines, the vegetation... The benign and cuddly little woodland creatures - so much of that was her. Loved it.
Tensions are so high in VI, aren't they? I love that
And yes, treeporn. That was fun. :)
Thanks muchly for more commenty goodness!

Date: 2006-07-28 10:54 pm (UTC)Geeze.. Rimmer's a stubborn thing, isn't he? Alhough, he got there in the end ;)
Personally, I think that since Lister's alive, Cat and Kryten must be alive. The optimist in me insists it. You guys wouldn't leave them dead. I hope...
*Runs off to read part 3.*
