I've had this idea running around my head, and it finally... er.. congealed. Psirens gapfiller.

She was sly; she was patient.

Crit is always good. Written for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100. Little Damn Table.

Soft ones!!!
Wow, that was great!

locomotive apparatus to the reproductive organ, then up to the speech-synthesis device

Ah, lovely. What an interesting creature. I don't think I've ever read a fic with this POV sort of before...
I've always wonderd about GELF's in Red Dawrf. Who the hell bred those things?! Still, much entertaiment all round.

The Kinitawowe puzzle me the most. They explained the Polymorph, I can understand the pleasure GELF (though it's a slightly disturbing idea), Your explanation for the Psiresns seems plausible, but the Kinitawowe? Well, it makes it all the funnier. I liked the nod to their origin you had in "Spanners". Highly amusing.

Odd looks, gaps, I love those!

Ahahaha! Great job! The alien POV was wonderful, along with the Rimmer-expression-explaination. And yes, I would like to meet the fellow who made those GELFs.

So wait; if this psiren is female (for lack of a better word/concept), does that make Lister/Psiren a het pairing? ;)

I like the use of the word "husk".

and gently pushed the minds of the soft ones further towards the conflict that was already brewing.
Aaahhh....

Such a plethora of vulnerabilities snaked through his mind, a twisted tangle of neuroses that would taste so sweet in the head of a soft one.
Like a Rimmershake! (Sorry.)

from the locomotive apparatus to the reproductive organ, then up to the speech-synthesis device.
Heee!

The muscle that aided in speech had some significance to the not-soft one, and so she made her assumed form move it, running it around the word-forming devices, slowly,
Linguistic porn! :D

Clever one, this. I enjoyed! :D
