I think I might have started something scary - I forgot to actually ask [livejournal.com profile] roadstergal about it, but I think she picked up on my "something-not-quite-rigth-about-Howard" reference and took it in a wonderfully disturbing direction. One of the things I love about writing like this. ;)

LMAO! I want to read yer fic!

Erm, I have written stories in which Rimmer does have a taste. *shrugs* Hard-light holography is good like that; it's not explained in detail, so you can get away with pretty much anything. I agree that no-taste sounds reasonable though. Depends on my mood. ;)

Thank you - the blue-sparks image was one of mine. :)

I really liked that moment too - I agree with you; it was comfortable (though not, perhaps, entirely) and happy, and had them laughing together. A prefect ending.

...Except for the Petersen angst. ;) Heh, no, it was planned that way. But you know, his forgetting had to be explained too. I don't like it when characters are just ignored. Take the ending of Twelfth Night, for example. Antonio follows Sebastian to Orsino, even though he knows he will probably get arrested doing so. They two are close friends, and a relationship between them is more than hinted at. He clearly cares very much for Sebastian, enough to risk his life. But when he is indeed arrested, we hear nothing more of him, as the play shifts focus to the happy couples that can now be together, and the siblings that are finally re-united. Does Antonio die? Does he spend the rest of his life in prison? How does he feel about Sebastian's marriage? We are never told, and I feel Shakespeare did this on purpose. Some stories are like that, he seems to say, and what of those abandonned characters?

*looks at above paragraph* Great, first I compare RD to Ibsen, now friggin' Shakespeare??

Mmm... Writing more... < /Homer Simpson>

Thank you! :D
