Comic Con ...?

So - was Red Dwarf X not represented at all at the recent Comic Con? I understand the trailer wasn't out yet (I don't think), but it was very close ... and trailers air all the time at CC that haven't aired to the public yet ... and ...

WELL, AND RED DWARF STILL GOING AFTER 24 YEARS SHOULD BE A BIG FUCKING DEAL AT NERDVANA. I'm sorry, but it should.

Anyway, does anyone know if it was shown/discussed/referenced there as it should have been?

I have friends who went to San Diego and no, it wasn't mentioned and a quick search doesn't show any cosplay. The BBC booth is reserved for Doctor Who, Merlin was there I believe, but I don't believe much else. Dave wouldn't have the money to get a panel or booth there, not for one show. A modest dealer table costs $2K, but I've no idea what a place at the panels costs. I haven't heard of RD coming to the US for cons, whether for trailers or actor appearances...ever? I know a few came over for PBS launches and such, but it's been years. Alas.

Well, shoot. I guess I'm not terribly surprised, but geez. You'd think a booth might be a good investment to let people know this is going on? I mean, $2,000 doesn't seem like an awful lot - and Dave HAS been discussing marketing with the Naylors, right?
