I can't remember whether or not this has been discussed previously, but I had a thought the other day.
If someone wanted to propose to Lister, would they also have to ask him for his father's/son's hand in marriage?  And can you imagine the conversation?
Just a thought, as I said.

Ow. Well, if you've seen series X, Lister did have a workaround for having a conversation with his dad, so maybe something similar could happen? The suitor could ask Lister-dad, get him kershnickered so he'd forget, no, that won't work. He has to remember....

Ow.
my head.
ow.

(totally hijacking this conversation)... your icon pic, is that at King's Cross station? I'm taking a train down from Scotland in a month, and I was pretty sure Platform 9 3/4 was there. Since I have to go to a train station, why not the one with the Harry Potter reference? :)

It's little things like this that I'm looking forward to. Sure, we're doing the big stuff; Warwick Castle, Doctor Who Experience and Beatles Story in Liverpool, but there has to be time to just see stuff, too. We don't have to be doing something every moment of the day (though it will probably feel like it). Seven weeks until DJ!

Yep, we're doing the Baker Street stuff, too. Plus, attempting to stalk Ben and Martin as they'll be filming series 3...somewhere in the UK. I'm doing the Beatles walk, and my friend is doing one of the Jack the Ripper walks (she's huge into serial killers, part of her Masters Degree in Criminology, I suspect). Oh, and there are a few Holmes/Doyle pubs in Edinburgh and London that we're going to check out. Probably have lunch there.

You mentioned you'd never seen a squirrel. Are there not squirrels in Australia? Just curious, because my cat loves watching them in the trees right outside the house (I'm in America). We have chipmunks and a raccoon, too.

My high school report was on Doyle.

That makes sense, I guess. We don't have kangaroos or koalas here. I just, you know, squirrels are everywhere. I learned something today!

I was there on Saturday. Still there darling. They usually have official photographers there to take your pic, there's even a Harry Potter shop! Crazy...it used to just be the sign and the half-trolley.

I don't need my picture taken with (probably), but it will be neat to see. I'm also trying to make sure the train we take will have a view of the Angel of the North (sounds like they all do). Just over six weeks, my dear! I just started my list of 'things I need to pack'...and it's rather extensive. And that's just the stuff I'm remembering off the top of my head. Eeep!
