Extremely Shallow Question
Dec. 18th, 2014 06:15 pmHopefully I can be excused on the grounds that my brain has turned to Christmas stress related mush, but I think it's just about relevant to this comm. :p
Would you say the Boyz are more attractive in their days of extreme cuteness (Series 2 era especially) or in their more mature stage circa Series VII? I simply cannot decide.
Feel free to back up your arguments with pics. ;)

As for our baby-faced Lister...
Has anyone seen these yet or did I completely miss the post?

Date: 2014-12-20 08:23 am (UTC)I could basically write an essay on this whole subject, but for me personally, series V-VI Chris is my favourite. That's when his bod and costumes were at their finest ;-)
Anyone here who knows me will know that I'm a Lister girl and love him the whole way through. However, if I had to choose between adorable baby Lister or older wiser Lister, I would go older. He's just SO boyish in the first few series. I do think he's particularly handsome in S2,4,5 &7 though. I didn't love the baggy boiler suit in S6. If I had to choose an overall favourite series for him it would probably be S7. Physically he looked in great shape, but I also think it was the series where he'd really made the transition from boy to man and the big gap between 6-7 (and what Craig had been through in the meantime) kind of throws it into sharp relief. Series 7 Lister was all grown-up and SMOKIN' hot :-)
And yes, there were the white long johns too...

Date: 2014-12-20 08:36 pm (UTC)Yes, Series VII isn't one of my faves, but the way Lister looks in it is a big redeeming factor. And I can honestly say that I'd still think that even without the longjohns. I mean, look at my icon. ;)

Date: 2014-12-20 08:27 pm (UTC)On the one hand I'm pleased he's embracing his age but on the other it jars to see him with strands of grey. This is my own fault for rewatching a decades old show and getting that youthful image stuck in my head. ;)
